Currently living in Louisiana
Rhiannon is a self taught artist that has experienced living in several states as well as Australia. In each place she has sought out solitude and nature as inspiration for her drawings.
Later in life she decided it was time to share her passion with others and enrolled in a teaching program at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. She joined the National Art Education Association and is still a member. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Art Education; she also received a minor in Psychology.
Upon graduation she began teaching in the public school sector. She is still currently teaching art in Baton Rouge, LA. But her foremost desire was always to teach at the university level so she enrolled in the Master’s program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA in order to get the credentials necessary to teach at the level she desired. At both universities she has learned much and has been exposed to art of many mediums and genres which has allowed her to become a well rounded artist.
Rhiannon is currently working on a body of work entitled, “Beauty Beyond the
Fragrance”. This body is of close-up views of many different hybrids of flowers completed in oil on linen. The paintings that have been completed were on exhibit at the COC in Clinton, LA this year..
